Security Engineer

A client in the Netherlands, a well-established manufacturing business, is seeking to hire a Security Engineer to join their growing IT and security team. This hybrid position offers a mix of remote work and on-site collaboration in a dynamic and supportive environment.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to both the cloud security and endpoint security functions, playing a central role in protecting and enhancing the organisation’s IT infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the business remains secure, compliant and resilient against evolving threats.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for endpoint and cloud security operations

• Support, maintain and enhance security configurations within the Azure cloud environment

• Implement and manage identity management solutions including Entra ID and Azure Directory

• Administer multi factor authentication and two factor authentication systems

• Deploy, configure and manage Microsoft Defender security tools

• Install, configure and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to ensure endpoint security and compliance

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to deliver effective security measures and respond to incidents

Key requirements

• Hands on experience with Entra ID and Azure Directory

• Strong understanding of Azure cloud security

• Proven experience managing multi factor authentication and two factor authentication technologies

• Experience with Microsoft Defender solutions

• Practical experience installing and managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

• Fluent English communication skills

• Previous experience in a security engineering role within a complex IT environment is preferred
