Data Culture Analyst

6-Month Contract | Hybrid (York or London, 2 days/week)

£400/day | Outside IR35

We are looking for a proactive Data Culture Analyst to lead a greenfield initiative aimed at improving data literacy and embedding a unified data culture across five distinct business units in a large insurance business.

You’ll be the driving force behind shaping learning pathways, defining KPIs, and aligning stakeholders to a central data strategy. This is a highly collaborative role, ideal for someone who combines a working knowledge of data with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver a data maturity assessment and define clear KPIs
  • Winning the hearts and minds of business stakeholders to agree and implement one organisational data culture
  • Create and promote data literacy programmes for technical and non-technical teams
  • Coordinate with HR, L&D, and business reps to build tailored learning pathways
  • Translate between technical and business language to drive understanding
  • Track and report on ROI of cultural initiatives

You’ll need:

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience in data culture, literacy or change initiatives
  • Working knowledge of data tooling, and analytics environments (in an operational capacity)
  • Excellent communication and ability to engage varied audiences

Nice to have: Insurance or financial services experience
